Tignes March 2004
In March 2003,
‘boardagain’ took a group of 12 mixed ability skiers and boarders to Tignes in
France. Fantastic resort with lots of sun and snow. Thoroughly enjoyed by all
who went. See:
‘Experience
Tignes, France – March 2004’ for a brief review.
Experience Tignes,
France – March 2004
Where do we
start!?! After the March 2003 trip to Tignes, we just had to go back for more.
The ‘boardagain’ team would argue that this is quite possibly one of the best
resorts in the Alps, despite the 4 hour coach transfer from the airport; it’s
worth it in the end. Always a guarantee of great snow due to the altitude,
Tignes offers a variety of skiing for all levels. The resort is situated in a
valley and if you stay in the centre as we did you can ski to your door from
pretty much anywhere. ‘boardagain’ took a group of 10 to the Roc Blanc
Apartments on a half board basis so breakfast and evening meals were included in
the price although we did eat out on a couple of occasions. ‘Harry’s Bar’ (now
known as ‘Censored’) does good priced food and is well worth a visit. There are
several other good bars and restaurants but our choice by far is ‘The Loop Bar’.
Great food and service, the bar is so popular with us that on one occasion when
the sun was shining we spent the entire day there – well we hadn’t gone all that
way to go snowboarding had we!!??!! Tignes is definitely a must do resort and is
in the running again for a trip in March 2006. Watch this space for details!
