Resort Information
In the heart of the 3 Valleys, the resorts of
Meribel (1450m), and Mottaret (1700m) have their own extensive ski area, also
providing access to the slopes of Courchevel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires.
Traditionally alpine in style with picturesque chalets and a lively village
centre, people often return to Meribel. Mottaret, although not as traditional as
Meribel, has a compact resort centre and enjoys all the advantages of door to
door skiing, fantastic views and great Apres-Ski.
Made up of many chalets, the village centre
has a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Mottaret also has a good
selection of pubs and eating establishments at reasonable prices. There are
regular buses to Meribel. Other activities in the resort include; Snow-shoeing,
Snowmobiling, Cross Country, Parapenting, Hang Gliding, Cinema, Bowling Alley,
Pleasure Flights, Indoor Swimming Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi, Skating Rink and a
Climbing Wall.
