Durability
Cardboard is usually not the strongest of materials and wouldn't be an expected material for furniture, but when used correctly it can actually be highly durable. You may have heard about the cardboard beds used at the recent Tokyo and Paris olympics; these beds were able to hold approximately 200 kg and did not break when met with force.
The olympic beds were supplied by a company called Airwave and they were easily transported to the olympics as they were flat packed and very light. Airwave and other companies have said these beds can last for 10+ years, so they are long lasting and durable.

This is a sample table one of our teammates made that we tested to see how my weight it could hold. Our first test was the image on the right with 13 textbooks with a combined weight of 10.4 kg. He added supports to the weak points, and we tested again with 6 additional, heaver textbooks that added 7.2kg. Over we tested a strength of 17.6 kg without any breakages.
